The Many Reasons Why People Love Cheesecake

Cheesecake is a well-known dessert all over the world. In fact, you can easily find them included in the menu of restaurants and hotels. These heavenly-tasting cakes come in a wide variety of flavors that suits in anyone’s taste. There are many reasons why people love to eat these cakes over other kinds of desserts.

The first reason why people love cheesecake is attributable to its taste. This cake is very creamy and yummy that surely pleases the most discerning taste bud of a person. Moreover, this cake has evolved its recipes over the years since it was said to have first appeared during the first Olympic Games in Greece. The cake also adapted some local ingredients of the place it is baked. Hence, the taste of the cake varies between regions.

Moreover, the availability of flavors made lots of people want for more. Over the years, bakers add flavors to the filling making them extra yummy to the palate. They add flavors on the toppings or in the filling itself. The most popular flavors of fillings are chocolate and vanilla. Moreover, you can add glazing or flavored syrup. The most common syrups used are chocolate and cherry syrups.

Also, lots of people adore the way these cakes are presented. Most of the time, they serve as a canvass where a person can express his artistic side. This is made possible in decorating the cakes appropriately. Because they can be decorated in any way that you want, you can give them during special occasions. Couples love to eat them during Valentine’s Day. The cakes on that day can be decorated in a romantic manner including decorating them with red fruits such as strawberries and cherries. They can also be personalized by adding small marshmallows that are arranged in a way that it spells the name of your sweetheart.

Bakers love cheesecake because it is very easy to make. The ingredients that are used in making the cake can be found anywhere. There is nothing fancy in the ingredients. The ingredients include cookie crumbs, cheese cream, eggs, butter and other common baking ingredients. Moreover, the recipe can be very flexible if you opt to bake it on your own. You can adjust the sweetness of your own recipe or the creaminess that you want you can have additional cheese cream if you want. This makes bakers experiment on other ways to make this recipe tastier and creamier than before.

Camping Withdrawals Again… How we’re going to get through it!

It’s the goofy and the funny things in life that make it worth it all. It’s been seven months since we last took the trailer to the lake. Needless to say we’re all having withdrawals. We want to get back out and either go to the lake or the mountain, but it’s still too cold. There is still snow on the ground on the mountain and the temperatures just aren’t warm enough to take it back out yet.

So we decided to help us make it through another month or so we’re going to have lunch in the trailer today. We need to go check on it anyway and we want to put the new mattress on the bed, so it’s the perfect time to go check it out. So we’re going to stop and get Blimpies and head on out to the place it’s stored at to see how it is.

While it won’t be the same, it will still be nice to go see it and sit inside it. Funny I know, but hopefully it will help us get through the next month or so. We’re hoping to take it out the first part of May, but it will depend on the lovely Wyoming weather. Hahaha!

Halloween Memories in April

I ran into some fun Halloween pictures that brought back some fun memories. I’m afraid my boys are getting to a point where it’s going to be a thing of the past for a while, so all I have is the pictures for now. I’m sure after a few years they’ll get back into it again, but that’s not for sure either. LOL I hope that’s not the case because there are so many fun Halloween Costumes available right now. There are the traditional costumes like clowns, jailbirds, and singers, but there are also some that are a lot more fun.

Check out these cute pictures I found while I was looking though some images on my computer the other day. They had such a good time coming up with these costumes and then going trick or treating that night. They came home with smiles on their faces and lots of candy in their bags.

My boys are big enough now to where they have to wear Adult Halloween Costumes now, which may or may not be a good thing. I’ve found a site that offers some fun costumes for them to consider. I found the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, a purple grape costume that reminds me of the Fruit of the Loom guys LOL, and I found a Whoopie Cushion costume which are all costumes I think they’d be interested in, so needless to say when Halloween comes around again, we’ll be checking out this site for sure. :)

Insurance can Save you Money

The cost of everything is rising on a regular basis. Gas prices are going up which means the cost of food, personal care items, and homes are on the rise too. It’s a cycle that happens because it only takes one thing to rise for everything else to be affected by it.

When this happens it causes problems for our family members as well. If you were to become sick and you can’t pay your insurance costs that puts a burden on your family and nobody wants that. This is why it’s important to have insurance. There’s life insurance, health insurance, and vehicle insurance. When we have these our families will be protected and the cost of things won’t be so high.

I can tell you having insurance is a must because you just never know what can happen. Chris broke his foot a while back ago and if it weren’t for the health insurance we had, the cost would have been $2000+. Now that situation doesn’t compare to one where I had surgery. The cost for everything was $25000, but the insurance saved us and we only paid $700 for everything. We would have been in series trouble had we not had the insurance to help cover the cost.

So don’t put your family in a financial situation. Look for cheap life insurance and health insurance and have the coverage you deserve. The monthly premiums will be worth it if you find yourself in a situation where you need the coverage and thousands of dollars are spent on your problem.

Live your Life for YOU!

We all have things we enjoy in life. Things like the clothes we wear, the way we style our hair, and the foods we eat. Depending on what it is they may even represent who we are and what we enjoy. It’s those things that make other recognize us.

Making changes to those things is ok as long as the changes are good. It’s not good if you make changes so others will be happy or to show others we can be different. If you want to be happy in life, you must be happy with the way you look and feel.

When I was a teenager I loved flowers. I had shirts that had flowers all over them and I even had hats that I wore that either had flowers on them or they had a flower in the front. I got this style of clothing from a television show that was popular in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I loved the style and so I wore it whenever I could. That type of change is ok because it’s what I wanted and it made me happy.

Creating a style all of your own is important because it shows who you are. One way to create that style is to create foods you enjoy. Now I’ll tell you one of my most favorite meals is one that my husband makes from scratch. It’s homemade chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and country gravy. He makes the chicken fried steak from scratch and the mashed potatoes are real. He knows exactly how to create the seasons used on the chicken fried steak to make it perfect every time.

Another favorite that I have is deserts. I love icecream and cheesecake. Icecream can be bought at the store, but cheesecake is different. You can get a few flavors in the store, but not everything. More than likely the store won’t have a sampler, a strawberry, or a white chocolate. I go to Dairy Queen to get my favorite icecream, when I’m looking for a special cheesecake I go to Cheesecake.com.

The most important thing in life is to remember to do what you enjoy and create your style based on your needs and wants. Don’t do something for someone else. Don’t wear clothes to make others happy and when it comes to what you eat, you need to eat what you like and what you enjoy. Don’t live your life based on lies and based on others. Live your life the way you want. Live your life for YOU!

Track Season 2012

Josh starts track on Monday and I’m looking forward to it. He did it last year for the first time as a middle schooler and was getting his feet wet. He did a number of different field events, but his best event had to do with running.

Josh is tall and skinny and he’s built to run. Years ago when both the boys were in elementary school they would race to do the door and the majority of the time Josh would beat his brother. Now if you asked Chris he would say he let Josh win and sometimes I think that may have been true, but I also think because of Josh’s long legs he would have won anyway.

Josh does better with the longer races because he has a chance to get his thoughts together before it’s time to get started. He can do the shorter races like the 50 meter dash and the 100 meter dash, but the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter run are better. Last year he had a number of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places to his name and the majority of those were from the longer races.

I’m looking forward to watching Josh run in the races and to see how much he’s learned and improved since last season. I know he’ll do better this year and I’m confident he’ll bring home more 1st place ribbons.

Go Josh!!

Tips for Saving Money Online

With the cost of merchandise like food and personal care items going up due to gasoline prices rising, we must do what we can to save money. We’ve talked about saving money with price matching and coupons, but what if that’s not enough?

Shopping online can sometimes save you even more money due to quantities ordered by the company to accommodate shoppers all over the United States. There are sites like eBay and Amazon that are full of great deals, but there is one that’s even better.

SneakPeeq.com offers online shopping at its best! They have housewares, clothing for the entire family, accessories, and so much more. They have a fixed price for everything they offer, but that’s not necessarily the price you will pay for the item you want to purchase.

SneakPeeq.com is almost like a game. The more you visit the site and surf the categories the more discounts you’ll receive. Now we all surf the internet window shopping for items we think are cool and things we dream of having so why not do it on a site that has almost everything you could imagine and rewards its members for doing so?

You’ll never be bored window shopping and saving on SneakPeeq.com because they put up new deals every day. The more you visit the more savings you’ll receive, so why not play today?

Change is not a bad thing!

Change can be hard at times, but if you think about it we go through changes every day. If you work a job or own a business things may change day to day or month to month depending on the season or type you have. You also may see changes around your home such as a new vehicle, a paint color, or a new appliance. While we may think change is difficult, we must remember it’s the way it needs to be. If things were always the same it would be boring and we wouldn’t like life.

I have found that change can be very refreshing and it’s something to look forward to and enjoy. One of the biggest changes I’ve made recently comes with my hair. I went from being brown to copper. I cut about 5 inches off the back and 1 inch off the front to get an extreme A line. I love my new style, but it’s hard to adjust to it because I’m not familiar with styling it that way. It takes time, but I’ll get it and once that happens I’ll love my hair style even more. Here are some before and after pictures.

When change happens in your life, don’t be scared. Let it happen and learn from the changes. You’ll find over time you’ll adapt to the changes and it won’t be that bad.

Spring is Finally Here

I believe spring is finally here. I just looked at the weather for the next 10 days and the highs are supposed to be in the 60’s and 70’s the entire time. Yay! I’m so glad. I hate winter because it’s cold, the roads are terrible to drive in, and there are days when the sun doesn’t come out.

Spring time means it’s closer to summer and that means we can go camping again. We had such a great time camping last summer and we just can’t wait to do it again. We’re planning to go to the lake and the mountain and it’s going to be so much fun.

We bought a new generator and it’s so much quieter. It won’t be embarrassing to run it early in the morning when we want to use the microwave or if we need to plug in the cell phones. It won’t be terrible if we run it in the morning if we need to turn the heat on for a bit. It’s perfect!

I’m also looking forward to the green grass, the leaves on the trees, and the flowers blooming. Last summer we planted a lilac bush because they’re my favorite and I’m praying it comes back this year. In our old house we had a huge lilac bush that lined the driveway and I truly miss that. The smell is wonderful and the flowers were just beautiful. I just hope we’ll have that again with this new one.

Well, with all of that said, I welcome spring and I’m looking forward to each day because it brings warmer temperatures and the beauty’s it has to offer. Yay spring!!
