Tell me Thursday – April 19

Yesterday I posted the cutest picture of our dogs. In the picture you’ll see two dogs. The larger one is Katy and she’s a Border Collie. The smaller one is Molly and she’s a Dachshund. Even though they are much different in type and size, they are best friends. They just love each other and show it all the time.

They play together, horse around, eat together, and as you can tell, they sleep together. They’re very entertaining and will keep you entertained for hours with the things they do.

On Tuesday Josh played the basketball game of his life. His team was playing in the final tournament game of the season and the end result would determine who took 3rd place and who took 4th place.

The score went back and forth for the majority of the game, but the last four minutes of the game is where it got interesting. You see Josh got the ball and shot it and got a three pointer for it. Less than a minute later Josh ended up with the ball again and did a layup with the end result being 2 points. About a minute later Josh stole the ball from a player and went down court. He tried for the three pointer again and then was fouled. Because he was going for a three point shot, he was given three free throws. He ended up with one point, which made his final score for the game six points. The last two minutes of the game showed Josh’s team was the strong of the two and with four more points scored they won the game and took third place in the county.

Josh’s team had an outstanding season and I’m so glad we were able to watch the games. Josh excelled each day and it’s so great to see him improve. His coach was fantastic and he taught these kids so much.

Yesterday I posted a picture of our cat Piper sleeping. We were doing some cleaning in the laundry room and one of the things that was moved was the little chair she’s sleeping on. She’s so funny in that she’ll sleep anywhere she can find a soft place. LOL

Yesterday I posted a picture of our boys in the water standing on their hands. For Easter this year we took the boys to Las Vegas. It was a great time and the weather was just perfect. The pools were open and so on the last day we were there we took the boys swimming. This is a video of them standing on their hands in the water. This is something Josh couldn’t do at first, but after a few minutes of help from his big brother Chris, he was able to make it happen. Great job boys!!

Yesterday I posted a picture of our cat, Piper in the window seal. She loves the window seal and actually things it belongs to her. If you put something up there within seconds of her noticing it whatever you put there will be on the floor. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small thing and not in her way or if it’s big and takes up a lot of space, if it’s there you better expect it to be on the floor.

While I never thought a cat would control the house, I now know I do and it’s funny at times, but also frustrating. O’well, it is what it is and that’s ok. I still love her anyway. LOL

Yesterday I posted a picture of a Christmas tree ornament that belongs to my Grandma. It’s a perfect fit for my entire family. We have faith in God every day for a number of reasons. We have faith that God will lead us in the right direction each and every day. We also have faith that God will help us reach success in everything we do. We also have faith that the angel will be around us every minute to protect us and make us safe. When you are a household of faith you have everything in God’s eyes and that’s an awesome feeling.

Yesterday I posted a picture of my oldest son Chris playing in his first home game of the basketball season. It was great to watch and I look forward to watching more. He did an awesome layup and scored on that. He also assisted in two more scores during the game. It was awesome!

Yesterday I posted a picture of an ornament on our tree. I was working at Kevin’s desk and turned around to look at the dog behind me and caught a glimpse of the nutcracker. Looking at it again it reminding me of a child in trouble and standing in the corner. So yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday picture will always be known as the “nutcracker in trouble”. LOL

Yesterday I posted a picture of a meal we had a couple of weeks ago. It’s called “Burger ‘n Fries Pot Pie” and the family loved it. Here is the recipe from Pillsbury.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lb hamburger
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
2 cups frozen crispy French-fried potatoes (from 20-oz bag)

Directions:

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain well. Sprinkle flour over beef mixture. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in tomatoes; heat to boiling. Remove from heat.

In ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole, spread beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Arrange frozen potatoes evenly in single layer on top.

Bake uncovered about 20 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
